Sempervivum arachnoideum

A distinctive sempervivum with a cobweb of white hairs that connect the leaf tips. This gives an interesting and attractive silvery apperance. Starry pink flowers may be produced in early summer. The rosttes sometimes have slight blushes of pink, and are 1 - 3cm in diameter. This species has the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit (RHS AGM).

The rosettes are often variable in shape, some being more open, and others tight round rosettes.

Suitable for alpine containers, troughs, rock gardens, scree beds, crevice garden, alpine house.
