A sea thrift with tufted clumps of narrow dark green leaves. Neat round heads of bright pink flowers are produced from late spring to summer. These are held on upright flower stalks, up to about 20cm, creating quite an architectural feature. Removing the faded flowers will help produce more flowers.
Grow in a sunny position in well drained soil.
A useful plant for containers, troughs, gravel gardens, coastal gardens, wildlife gardens and at the front of borders.
RHS Plants for Pollinators.
The RHS Plants for Pollinators mark is only given to plants that support pollinating insects.
